How dare u! I agree to every point of ur article – but when you describe 15 aug as “apato arthohin din’ then I must say you are taking our Independence for Granted as many of us do.
Yes, there are problems in our society and in our systems. Majority of the population are not willing to do anything for the country except showing some patriotism on 15th Aug and 26 Jan. But it doesn’t mean that the day becomes “orthohin”. Still there are people who are sacrificing their lives and contributing significantly of the countrymen and society. They might be the unsung heroes but they exist.

i was in outstation on 15th in a hotel…next day was 16th rakshabandhan day…thr was a small boy waiter in tht hotel..he dont know wht spcl abt 15th..any way the most painfull that he just getting 2-3 hrs brk out of 24 hrs duty due to hectic festive schedule.
we r still not all independent buddy…& in ‘independent day’ that boy was more workaholic to make us to celebrate.
